join a Global Docathon

Take part in a global storytelling movement — where your film could be featured on the world stage.

Why Join a Global Docathon?

Tell Stories That Matter

Students get the chance to create a short film on an issue they care about, giving them a powerful voice to highlight stories from their own community.

Build Future-Ready Skills

Through filmmaking, collaboration, and presenting their work, students develop creativity, critical thinking, communication, and empathy – skills that universities and employers value highly.

Connect With a Global Audience

Their films are not only screened locally but also shared at regional and global Docathon events, letting students showcase their work to peers and changemakers worldwide.

Share Your Film

Docathons happen throughout the year, all around the world. Each event offers one or more of these opportunities to share your film

student Film Exchange (SFX)

An online, global event in which every filmmaker has the opportunity to share their work with fellow student filmmakers worldwide.

Stories for Change (SFC)

An interactive event in which student films spark discussions and reflection around the issues they raise. Filmmakers may join in person or via video link

Red Carpet-Style Event

Celebrate the winning films from around the world in a glam Oscar's Style event, complete with student / professional judges, as well as awards.
